There are a lot of things that the proliferation of the Internet and it’s integration into our daily lives have not changed. People still have the same problems and diseases and interests and worries as they always have. What has changed is the fact that, however rare your problem or disease or interest or worry may be, you can probably connect with someone else who shares it within a matter of moments. Communities are forming and growing everyday among people who would have never found each other before the internet was there to facilitate that kind of communication.
That’s part of the reason that Ebooks and viral videos are so powerful. Whatever it is you have to say, chances are there is a community that’s ready and willing to listen. Your audience is out there– but in order to reach them, you have to get out there too. Make your message clear, convenient, and targeted, and then get working on finding that community that needs it. Chances are, they’re already out there somewhere organizing and learning without you. So how will you make them hear you?
You may have noticed a new tab under the “About Us” section of the ol’ Blazonfire site: Green Marketing.
If you think about it, ebooks, viral video, and podcasts are the ultimate in waste-free marketing – nothing printed, nothing mailed, nothing rotting away in a landfill. Your audience gets all your fabulous information, and you get to leave a smaller footprint. Sounds like a win-win to us!
And did you know that we even plant trees? Head on over to Green Marketing and check it out.
(Hops off soapbox and gets back to work.)
When I fired up Google Reader this morning, the first thing I noticed was a post by Seth Godin called “eBooks and Motion Graphics”. I thought, “Cool! That’s what we do!” Then I read the post, and realized that it wasn’t a concidence– Paul was mentioned and there was a link to Blazonfire.
Then I passed out.
When I came to, I ran upstairs and thrust my iPhone in Paul’s face. “You’re in Seth Godin’s blog!”
Then he passed out.
Once I revived him, we did a little happy dance and got to work. The mention has already generated a lot of wonderful response from all kinds of interesting people all over the world. We couldn’t be happier or more grateful to Seth.
So here’s what we’ve learned thus far in our Blazonfire experience: do what you love, do it with passion and abandon, focus on what you can do to help others succeed, and just maybe you will be caught in the act of being good at what you do.

I can honestly say that Blazonfire most likely wouldn’t exist without Triiibes.
What is Triiibes? Well, one year ago marketing guru, Seth Godin, launched a website ahead of the publication of his book, Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us. He posted an invitation on his blog to join him on the site. There was a small window of opportunity to join before the door would be closed.
Those lucky enough to have joined early on have benefited in unbelievable ways. The grand social media experiment has spawned countless projects, books, websites and businesses (including this one). There is a certain camaraderie in Triiibes that I have found nowhere else. Members of the community are truly supportive of each others efforts. It’s as though each of us has a stake in the success of the others. It’s comforting to know that I have a safe place to go whenever I need answers. And let’s face it; it’s fun to be an expert every once in a while and answer questions that fall into my sphere of experience.
If I wasn’t already convinced that relationships were the key to success, than Triiibes cemented their initials into that concept. It was the kick in the pants I needed to create my business and help others to spread their ideas.
On the occasion of Triiibes birthday, some of the members have decided to write about our successes that are due in large part to our affiliation with the wonderful group of people we affectionately know as “Triiibesters.” I invite you to read their stories by following the link below which will take you to the next member’s blog.
Thanks for visiting Blazonfire. Here’s hoping your ideas are powerful enough to jolt you into action.

Have you noticed yet? There’s something new here at Blazonfire.
Over there under that little “About Us” tab, you can read all about our commitment to unparalleled customer service. That’s also where you can now find a link to the brand-new ProgressDash.
So what is ProgressDash? ProgressDash is our way to keep you completely in the know once you become a client. You give us the go-ahead on a project, and we’ll create one just for you. Then, you can check up on us at any time. You’ll always know how much of your project we have completed, what stage of the process we’re in, and the estimated completion date. You’ll even be able to download your comps. Plus, it just looks cool.
And how’s this for freaky-weird: just last week, Seth Godin wrote an entire blog post devoted to the value of digital dashboards. First we thought, “Hey! We’re developing one of those right now!” Then we thought, “That’s really great validation that we’re on the right track!” And then we thought, “Wait… did you just see that bald guy peeking in our window? Seth Godin is totally spying on us!”
Anyway, give the ProgressDash the old once-over. We think you’ll be impressed.
We’re a little bit giddy around here lately. After years of working in various capacities in marketing, design, and video production (Paul), and broadcast journalism and video production (Lauren), we finally decided that the time has come to consolidate our efforts into one fantabulous new company. It’s a brand-new venture, and at the same time it isn’t new at all. We’ve been doing this stuff forever, but never quite like this. And we’ve never been this excited about it!
So what is a Blazonfire, anyway? The word blazon means to proclaim widely or make generally known… and that’s exactly what we do! Plus, doesn’t it just sound awesome? Then, since blazon sounds so similar to blazing, the “fire” reference seemed natural. Plus, we’re on fire with ideas! We’re ready to set the world ablaze! We’re going to smoke the competition! And clearly, we get all hot and bothered for puns!
Alright, we’d better wrap this up before we wear out the exclamation point key. Suffice to say we’re excited we’re here, we’re even more excited that you’re here, and we’re just plain old excited!
